SERV is excited to share that we are in the process of replacing the legacy web service system with a modern, scalable, cloud-based platform.

This new platform will provide a single, comprehensive view of all Victorian property-related data, empowering you and your customers to make better-informed decisions with confidence. You can find a full list of benefits on the System News page

You are invited to be a part of the next phase of the project. This phase aims to test our first release of Title and Property Ordering webservices to ensure they suit you and your customer’s needs.

What you need to know

1. SERV is redesigning and rebuilding the current suite of Title and Property Ordering web services (or APIs – Application Programming Interfaces) to better suit you and your customers processes and needs.

2. We’ll be working with you closely over the next 12 months to support your transition to the new Title and Property Ordering webservices.

3. Eventually all SERV’s web services will be transitioned over to the new platform. While the exact timeline for these changes is not yet defined, we are committed to moving forward and as we progress, we will keep you informed of developments and milestones achieved.

4. We will send out System Bulletins to keep you informed and have created a System News page which will house all the current and past bulletins so you can stay informed, and navigate to the new Developer Portal at any time.

Immediate action: We are now in an engagement and feedback phase for the first release of Title and Property Ordering web services, we would like to invite you to start testing.

Our newly re-designed Title and Property Discovery and Ordering services are now available for you to test and to familiarise yourself with the changes, ensuring the new services are fit for your organisation’s operational needs, enhancing your customers experience by returning more timely reliable data.

Should you be interested in joining us to test these new web services or require further information, please contact us by emailing data.services@servictoria.com.au. SERV’s Property Information Product Owner will be coordinating this phase of the project and will contact you directly.

Benefits in participating

There are several benefits for your organisation to participate in the phase, namely:

1. Early feedback opportunity: Evaluate the Title and Property Ordering services to ensure they meet your requirements and provide feedback for further development before production release.

2. Reduced effort during transition:  Testing now minimises future integration work, allowing for better forecasting of time and effort required during production deployment.

Next steps and timeline

The release of this first phase of new Title and Property Ordering webservices in our test environment is only the beginning of the journey to replace all existing web services with a new suite of RESTful APIs.

By 2025: the rest of our new Title and Property Ordering webservices will be available in Production. By

2026: we are targeting for all partners to have moved to the new Title and Property Ordering web services for the eventual decommissioning of the current web services.

Should you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact us at data.services@servictoria.com.au.
