New search and lodgement fees
New fees will apply to all Land Registry search products, dealings, applications and plan lodgements from 11 October 2004.
The following tables list the new search fees and lodgement fees for the most common search products and transactions.
For full details of the new fees, customers should refer to the Transfer of Land (Fees) Regulations 2004, the Subdivision (Registrar’s Fees) Regulations 2004, the Instruments (Fees) Regulations 2004 and the Property Law (Fees) Regulations 2004. The new regulations will be available in early October.

The Land Registry Lodging Book
A third edition of the Lodging Book has been produced and will be available for purchase in early September 2004.
The Land Registry Lodging Book – A Guide to Dealings at Land Victoria is a valuable reference for legal practitioners, conveyancers, surveyors, and anyone lodging documents for any form of land transaction or lodgement at Land Victoria. It covers the most commonly used transaction types under the Transfer of Land Act 1958, Subdivision Act 1988, and other acts related to land transactions in Victoria.
The Lodging Book continues to provide examples of various land transaction types and documents that must be lodged in support of each dealing type. The 300-page Third Edition includes a useful glossary of terms and an index to enable easy access to the topics contained in the Book.
In response to numerous customer requests, the new edition will be available in hard copy and on CD. A PDF file version of the Lodging Book is also being developed, and further details of this format will be advised to customers in a customer notice.
The Lodging Book will cost $77.00 including GST.
