Melbourne, 11 August 2026 – SERV has appointed experienced technology leader Rod Currie as General Manager, Technology, strengthening its leadership capability as the organisation continues to invest in the platforms supporting Victoria’s land and property services. 

Rod will lead SERV’s technology function, with responsibility for the performance, resilience and security of the mission-critical technology systems underpinning the Victorian Register of land and the next phase of SERV’s technology strategy. 

Rod brings more than 20 years of experience across the property, financial services, insurance, telecommunications, manufacturing and utilities sectors. Before joining SERV, Rod held senior technology leadership roles at PEXA, including General Manager, Architecture, Engineering and Platforms and Lead Architect. Earlier in his career, Rod held senior technology roles with National Australia Bank, Nimble Australia, Latitude Financial Services and Insurance Australia Group. 

SERV Chief Executive Officer Andrew Faber said Rod’s appointment came at an important stage in the organisation’s technology journey:

“Rod brings extensive experience leading high-performing technology teams with responsibility for mission-critical systems across the property and financial services sectors. His appointment builds on the significant progress SERV has already made modernising the systems and platforms that support Victoria’s land registry and property information services. We are delighted to welcome Rod to SERV.” 

As part of this leadership transition, SERV also extends its sincere thanks to Steve Planincic for his contributions to SERV over the last five years as General Manager for Customer Operations and Technology.
