VLRS Moves to Innovative New Melbourne Office
Monday 9 August 2021: VLRS moves to innovative new Melbourne office
Victorian Land Registry Services (VLRS) today announced it is relocating to a new, state-of-the-art office at Two Melbourne Quarter (2MQ), 697 Collins Street, Docklands.
VLRS has been co-locating with Land Use Victoria (LUV) across two floors at 2 Lonsdale Street, Melbourne, since the company’s inception in 2018.
VLRS Chief Executive Andrew Faber said the new office space has been designed to foster collaboration and innovation while comfortably accommodating the company’s 160 employees.
“It has been a fantastic opportunity to work closely with our government partners, LUV over the past three years. Co-locating at 2 Lonsdale allowed our people to easily transition from public to private sector, share knowledge and expertise and deepen our relationship while delivering excellent registry administration and customer service to the people of Victoria’, Mr Faber said.
“Now in our third year of operations, we are growing and need a space that is truly ours and supports our ambition to become Australia’s most trusted registry, data services and technology business.
“We are thrilled to be moving to 2MQ. The new office will enable our employees – whether they’re working remotely or in the office – to connect, collaborate and innovate,” he said.

Mr Faber said the new office aligns with VLRS’s corporate social responsibility priorities, derived from the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals.
“Sustainability and reducing our environmental impact were determining factors when it came to finding the right location for the new office. 2MQ is close to cycling and walking paths, trams and Southern Cross Station. It has access to greenspace and Melbourne’s first sky park which overlooks Collins Street,” Mr Faber said.
“The new VLRS office will be accessible for all abilities, uses environmentally-friendly white goods and appliances, and will be fitted out with sustainably sourced furniture,” he said. “The new building also has a 6-star green rating.”
The contemporary office fit-out, which is in the final stages of construction, includes multi-layered wooden wall panelling, multi-levelled ceilings, live plants, and vibrantly coloured finishes throughout. The walls will include artwork that pays homage to Victorian landscapes and flora.
The relocation is expected to take place on Monday, 30 August. After that time, VLRS will not be located at 2 Lonsdale Street.
The VLRS reception on level 1 at 2 Lonsdale remains closed to the public due to ongoing COVID-19 restrictions. Reception and limited counter services will be offered once VLRS has relocated to 697 Collins Street. A date for reopening is to be confirmed.
