SERV - Secure Electronic Registries Victoria

1. Introduction

Information on 'How to enter' forms part of the terms of entry. 

1.1 By entering the Promotion, you’re agreeing to that Secure Electronic Registries Victoria (SERV), ABN 86 627 986 396 can use your Name and email address to record your entry to the draw. If you win, you will need to provide additional details for the delivery of the Prize. 

1.2 The Competition begins at 5pm on Monday 14 April 2025 and ends at 5pm on Monday 28 April 2025. 

2. Who can enter

2.1 Entry is open to anyone over 18 years of age who agrees to the terms and conditions of entry. 

2.2 To enter you must have purchased a Property Owner Alert and completed the post-purchase survey. 

2.3 SERV employees are not eligible to enter. 

3. How to enter

3.1 The competition commences on Monday 14 April 2025 at 5pm AEST and concludes on Monday 28 April 2025 at 5pm AEST. 

3.2 In order to enter, entrants must complete the following steps: 

(a) Purchase a Property Owner Alert 

(b) Complete the post purchase survey 

3.3 Entrants are allowed to enter the competition one time only. 

3.4 There is no entry fee to enter the promotion. 

3.5 All eligible entrants will go into the draw.  

4. Method of selection of winners

4.1 The draw will be conducted in accordance with the Draw Details. The Prize will be awarded to a valid entrant randomly drawn in accordance with the Draw Details. 

4.2 SERV’s decision will be final and SERV will not enter into any correspondence regarding the result. 

4.3 This is a game of chance. 

5. Prize

5.1 Three (3) x $100 Eftpos Cash Gift Card  

5.2 Additional terms and conditions apply to the Eftpos Cash Gift Card as provided by the gift card issuer. Full terms and conditions will accompany the gift card.  SERV is not the issuer of the gift card and assumes no responsibility or liability for their use, redemption, availability or use. 

5.3 Prizes are not exchangeable or redeemable for cash. 

5.4 The prizes will be posted to the nominated winners once available. 

5.5 The prize value is accurate at the date of commencement of the Competition. SERV accepts no responsibility for any variation in the value of a prize after that date. Refunds will not be made in respect to unused services or prizes. Where a prize, or part of a prize, is unavailable, SERV retains the right to substitute the prize (or part) with a prize (or part) of equal or greater value subject to relevant State and Territory regulations. 

5.6 In the event that for any reason whatsoever a winner does not take an element of the prize at the time stipulated by SERV then that element of the prize will be forfeited by the winners and cash will not be awarded in lieu of that element of the prize. 

5.7 All costs associated with a prize not specifically included in the Prize Details including, but not limited to, any transport costs, transfer costs, meals, taxes, insurance and other ancillary costs are the responsibility of the winners. 

6. Draw details

6.1 The draw will take place at 11am on Wednesday 30 April 2025 at the SERV office. 

6.2 The draw will be conducted by SERV. 

6.3 Winners are chosen through a random draw, and the element of chance determines the outcome. 

7. Notification of winners

7.1 The winners will be notified on Wednesday 30 April via their email provided.  

7.2 The prize must be accepted by the winners by 5pm on Wednesday 7 May 2025 (accepted refers to replying to email notification with postage details for the eftpos card) 

7.3 The unclaimed prize draw will be conducted at 12pm on Thursday 8 May at the SERV office.  The winners of the unclaimed prize draw will be contacted via email. 

7.4 In the event that the winners are unable to be contacted, and all methods of communication are unsuccessful, that winners entry will deemed to be invalid and SERV reserves the right to conduct such further draws on the Unclaimed Prize Draw Date as are necessary to distribute the Prize, subject to any directions given by any relevant authority.

9. Other general terms

9.1 All personal information collected for the purposes of the Promotion will be dealt with, used, disclosed and stored in accordance with relevant privacy laws and SERV’s Privacy Policy which is available at https://servictoria.com.au/privacy and which contains information regarding how you can access your personal information, correct it and/or make a complaint about our handling of your information.  

9.2 SERV reserves the right to verify the validity of entries (including an entrant’s identity, age and place of residence) and to disqualify any entrant where the Promoter believes that the entry or the entry process has been tampered with or where any entry has been submitted not in accordance with the Terms and Conditions. 

9.3 SERV accepts no responsibility for any lost, late or miscommunicated correspondence due to incorrect entrant information. 

9.4 To the extent permitted by law, SERV (including its officers, employees and agents) will not be liable for any loss (including, without limitation, direct, indirect, special or consequential loss, or loss of profits), expense, damage, personal injury or death which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person's negligence) in connection with this Promotion or by the winners accepting or using any prize. 

9.5 If, for any reason, a winner does not take the prize (or an element of the prize) by the time stipulated by SERV, then the prize (or that element of the prize) will be forfeited and cash will not be awarded in lieu. 

9.6 Entrants agree that they are fully responsible for any information or materials they submit via the Promotion including, but not limited to, their name and comments.  

10. Governing law

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Victoria. The parties irrevocably submit to the nonexclusive jurisdiction of courts with jurisdiction there and waive any right to object to the venue on any ground.
