Our Story
Established in 2018, SERV was granted a 40-year concession by the Victorian Government to manage and modernise the systems and services of the 160-year-old government-owned Victorian Registry of land.
This marked the beginning of a new era in how Victoria safeguards and manages its property information, one built on trust, precision and secure digital systems.
Originally operating as Victorian Land Registry Services (VLRS), we became Secure Electronic Registries Victoria (SERV) in 2021. Our name reflects who we are today, a company focused on keeping Victoria’s land registry accurate, secure and accessible for everyone who relies on it.
SERV is proudly owned by Aware Super, one of Australia’s largest superannuation funds, representing more than 1.1 million members, including nurses, teachers and public servants. Aware Super’s purpose to deliver long-term public good aligns with our own commitment to creating value and confidence for all Victorians through secure digital infrastructure.
Our work supports confidence in property ownership and underpins Victoria’s $3 trillion property market.
