Changes to VLRS Registration Services
VLRS is committed to putting measures in place that enable us to continue to serve our customers as the COVID-19 situation evolves. Therefore, our operations will change to give effect to the heightened health advice put in place by the State and Federal Government.
Changes to VLRS and Landata Counter Services
Effective Monday 20 April our office at 2 Lonsdale Street will be operational but closed to the public. The purpose of this change is to limit exposure to and spread of COVID-19 amongst our employees, customers and visitors.
We are pleased to be able to continue to deliver our full suite of services despite these new measures. Please refer to the relevant section for your circumstances below.
For conveyancers, lawyers and other Subscribers to an Electronic Lodgement Network (ELN)
We have been working with Property Exchange Australia (PEXA) and Land Use Victoria (LUV) to develop a solution that enables customers to submit dealings that are currently eligible for submission in a paper format Over the Counter. We are pleased to announce that this solution, a generic residual dealing type, is ready for use by our professional/practitioner network. This electronic option is operational 24/7.
There are certain eligibility criteria that must be met to perform a generic residual dealing that are outlined in the latest LUV Customer Information Bulletin.
A step by step guide for lodging in PEXA can be found here. A FAQ guide has also been created and can be found on the LUV website found here.
Alongside this digital solution, we request that any customers with a DSB, update their customer code details with us so that we can mail your important documents to you.
If you have any questions on how these new measures apply to you, please call us on 03 9102 0401.
For customers not represented by a conveyancer or lawyer (Private Customers)
We are still able to support Private Customers to fulfill their transactions during this time, however we strongly advise you utilise a solicitor or conveyancer if your dealing is urgent or complex.
For Private Customers who wish to transact themselves, any lodgements can be mailed to:
Victorian Land Registry Services
GPO Box 527
Melbourne VIC 3001
Australia
You will then be contacted to make payment.
If you have any questions on how these new measures apply to you, please call us on 03 9102 0401.
Thank you for your patience
We thank you for your patience during this time and encourage you to give us a call to discuss any requirements you may have.
Ongoing Reviews
VLRS will conduct ongoing reviews in line with State and Federal Government advice to determine if additional measures are needed to ensure the health and well-being of employees, customers and visitors and to mitigate any further disruptions to the services delivered.
